Preparation
In order to better facilitate the participants’ training and preparation, a web-space will be developed, where the participants will have the opportunity to retrieve and access information on issues, such as the course’s programme and description, educational material and relevant links to websites, prior to the beginning of the course; general information about travel and accommodation will also be provided. A plethora of state-of-the-art information in the form of educational resources for formal and non-formal education will be available, including bibliographic references and outstanding European reports in the fields of science and environmental cultural heritage. In addition to that, important strands of technology-enhanced learning, such as pedagogical, conceptual and technical aspects of teaching and learning with use of digital tools, will be made available. Prior to the commencement of the course, participants will have access to all training resources and material, as well as the course structure and tools, thus being acquainted with the training course topic and methodology. The participants will be invited to participate to the summer school’s community/user group for sharing and exchanging ideas and practices. In addition to that, they will be asked to reflect on and prepare their own educational scenarios introducing inquiry-based techniques in science teaching. These educational scenarios will be discussed in detail and further developed during the course.
